EVENT RULES – Please read thoroughly and if you agree proceed to the application below.
⦁ A North Carolina sales tax certificate is required. Vendors are responsible for bringing their own tables, chairs, displays, cords, tents, etc. No tables or chairs will be provided by the Makers Market.
⦁ All booths must be displayed in a professional manner. Indoor booths must be set-up on Friday evening from 5 PM to 8 PM. Outdoor booths must set-up Saturday morning beginning at 7 AM.
⦁ Vendor’s set-up must be complete and ready to serve customers by 9 AM Saturday morning. All vehicles and loading/unloading equipment must be moved from market space by 9 AM.
⦁ The event will end at 3 pm. You must remain open and set up until 3 pm. If you begin to tear down or leave before 3 pm, you will be prohibited from selling at future markets.
⦁ Business name and/or logo must be clearly displayed and secured safely.
⦁ If using tables for your display, floor length tablecloths are required for all indoor tables.
⦁ For indoor booths, boxes, packing materials and personal items must be kept under tables with tablecloths, out of sight. Outdoor booths must keep boxes, packing materials and personal items under tables or other display units so they are not visible.
⦁ Indoor spaces are 10’x10′ and Outdoor spaces are 10’x20′. Merchandise and setup must remain within the confines of your booth area.
⦁ Please note that outdoor spaces are exposed to weather conditions. The market is not responsible for damage to your set up or merchandise. It is the responsibility of the vendor to provide adequate protection from weather conditions.
⦁ Outdoor spaces will be on the paved surface of the parking lot. If utilizing a tent for your setup, tent weights are mandatory. Tent stakes are not permitted. A minimum of 40 lbs. per tent leg, 160 lbs. total, per tent is required. Cinder blocks, bricks, and water jugs are not acceptable weights. Quality weights can be purchased from Amazon or Temu at reasonable prices, that hold either sand or water.
⦁ Indoor vendors are not permitted to use speakers, phones, or other devices to play music, videos, or other forms of entertainment. Ambient music will be played by the market hosts.
⦁ This is a church sponsored event for the community, as such, vendors will only engage in behavior and speech conducive to good business practice and civility. Harassment of any type, including offensive, unwelcome physical or verbal behavior, and unsolicited comments or conduct related to a person’s race, color, national origin, ancestry, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, genetic information, gender identity, disability, military or veteran’s status will not be tolerated. Inappropriate language and behaviors will not be tolerated.
⦁ Vendors are not permitted to use the following offensive marketing techniques: hawking, calling attention to products in a loud repetitive public manner, or selling products in an aggressive way.
⦁ Smoking, the use of alcohol, and/or the use of drugs is prohibited on the entire church campus.
⦁ All vendors must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
⦁ All items for sale must be handcrafted by you or at your direction. The sale of unlicensed or counterfeit merchandise will not be permitted. MLM’s are not permitted.
⦁ The sale of guns, knives and other weapons is prohibited.
⦁ Vendors are solely responsible to return the vending area back to its original condition, including removal of all trash and rubbish.
⦁ Violation of the above guidelines will result in forfeiture of market space with no refund and prohibition from future markets.
